sweet holiday lovin
so I just need to share in my joy, the other day, I have my two dirtiest finals of all time, ENG 315 H and HIST 201, both had just finished our class on Friday, and had papers due that night, then Saturday was busy pulling things together, so I was up early, like pre 6am which for me is a skosh too morning for the tastes. I’d been studying all morning, took one final for 4 hours, turned around 1 hour later, and took another 3 hours of pretty durn intense final action. So I’m exhausted, it’s about 6 o’clock, and I come home to grab some dinner.
As luck would have it, I have some POG juice and raising bran, not much of a victory dinner, defeated, beleaguered, and deflated, me and a buddy sat down to watch a movie.
About 20 minutes into this movie of escaping stress, a knock comes to my door, I yell come in, and nothing. Grumbling about the poor state of people who can’t help themselves to a door knob right in front of them and make me get out of my comfy couch cushion I grab the door, and there stand six of my good friends, all christmasied up singing carols. Probably the absolute last thing I expected to see behind the door that is normally graced by the rent collecting land lady…. well and that’s pretty much the only people who ever come back here.
They sang, gave me cinnamon bread and cookies, then went their merry way. I was converted back to the christmas spirit.
Since I’ve unleashed a flurry of christmas good will on passerby’s and have successfully felt like it was christmas e’en though it’s 80 degrees, which is no easy task mind you, and I owe it all to you girls. So thanks (from l-r) Ashley, Cami, Kristi, Sarah, Abby, and Emily, you guys rock!
That is so freakin awesome! The lord knows what you need doesn’t he! It’s sister Connor all over again! hehe! Congrats on finishing the finals!!!! and good luck… if you need it!
