Sooper Dooper Advenchur Rode Trip
Ok ladies and Gents. The following is the first draft of our ‘08 road trip.
Day 1
(evening) Logan – Virgin UT 380 miles
Get there in the dark, scramble for a campsite, sleep, wake up and ride Gooseberry Mesa. A trip report can be found here:

NOt sure how long the ride will take, will add in the details later.
Finish the day driving through Zion National Park and playing in there (time permitting)
Drive to Hillsdale UT to camp (80 miles from Virgin)
Day 2

Drive to Escalante, UT to camp (60 miles from Hillsdale)
Day 3
Hike in to Calf Creek Falls
“Roundtrip distance to the falls is 5-1/2 miles. While little elevation change is encountered, most of the trail is sandy, and can be very strenuous walking, particularly in warm weather. However, the falls area, once reached, is a delightfully cool, shady haven well worth the effort.”

Drive to Hanksville, UT (110 miles from Escalante)
Hike Little Wild Horse Canyon

(this is optional, as I will need to do more research to find out how long it will take. Worst case scenario, we can choose between Calf Creek Falls, and Little Wild Horse. Little Wild Horse is near Goblin Valley State Park, where there is supposedly some other cool stuff.)
Options 1: do both hikes
Option 2: Do Calf Creek Falls and relax rest of the day
Option 3: Go straight from biking Thunder Mountain, and drive to Hanksville to camp. Spend the day at Goblin Valley
Let’s get some input on this from people who are interested in going!!
Camp in Hanksville
Day 4
Drive to Price, UT (120 miles from Hanksville)
Ride a trail there (don’t know the name, I’ve heard they have good trails here, but we could substitute this for something else.)

That is the gist of the deal. I figure I will have 5 days total for the trip. I will keep working on alternatives. Please send me suggestions so we can make this sweet.
I want to work in fruita or new mexico or someplace new, or is this just gonna be a Utah road trip o’ love and adventure…
And what do we call it, not Moab ‘08 perhaps “Highway to Heck ‘08″
